Building Website Slideshows

Adding a slideshow to your webpage is a great way to convey information in picture and text format to your audience. Many schools use PowerPoint to build a story which their parents can read and engage with and so,  being able to add slideshow comprising PowerPoint pages allows you not only to display this content to the outside world in a simple way but it also means that your audience don't need to have PowerPoint in order to experience the beauty of your slides.

Until now, adding PowerPoint slides to a webpage in a way that they are displayed attractively and can be navigated forwards and backwards is not been very easy. We now however have the tools available to make this possible in a ridiculously easy way. In this session you will learn how to:

• Export your slides for PowerPoint into JPEG format
• Create an empty slideshow in the website control panel
• Add your images to the slideshow
• Move them around to make sure they're in the correct order if necessary
• Set up the display mode so that they sit correctly inside your pages
• Save and then embed the slideshow into any article on your website.

We will be installing  the appropriate new component onto your website before you attend the course so that you can create your own slideshow and see how it works as part of the session.

Note on Session Joining: The ZOOM session URL will be emailed to you a few days before the session date. When you join the ZOOM session, you will enter the Waiting Room and will see our logo until the session starts.

The session is only open to schools where an active support agreement is in place.
